      ... unloading our shopping.

      John went to pay the Hafenmeister who gave us the WiFi code so we then caught up on email etc. We then returned to the same pub/restaurant to have a meal as they were advertising our favourite and a very reasonable price, so how could we resist? John decided to have the mixed grill as it included ribs, steak, pork and chicken.

      Both meals were excellent and very good value, so we will be back! ...

After this we went to have a drink before meeting another friend I'd met on my South America tour, and friends with Nathalie, Thomas.       Later start than hoped, just ciuldnt wake up and face wet clothes and damp campsite. Rushed packin up and made a bosh of it.       ... my (Grandmother) Oma was born in and lived as a child. Out the back was a huge old barn. After lunch we took a drive to Willemstad which is a very old city established in 1561 and has city walls built around it. It was built as a Garrison which housed military families. During WW2 the Germans utilised the city fortress and built bunkers on the river side. Lots of old buildings but also lots of luxury boats in the town ...
