So we leave Belize and head on a bus to Mexico, we take the express right to Cancun, stay a night or two and head down to Playa del Carmen. Our hotel is nice, cheap and basic but clean and comfortable. We stayed at a small hotel with brick hard beds, no TV but a good rate. We went to Cancun the next day and realized quickly that Playa was more our speed (slow and quaint). We stayed at the Cancun Plaza and rode the rip-tides all afternoon.
