... be taken to the mini van which did not want to chance the muddy roads and stayed on the main road. I was actually taken back to the hotel by the driver of the car I was already in, so that was very convenient.

When I got back it was close to 9am. The tour did not start until 10am so I debated either eating breakfast or taking a short nap. My stomach was kind of queasy from drinking champagne at 8am on an empty stomach, so the nap won out ...

... trip which was great.

We arrived at the camp site just outside Ankara at around 7pm, had a yummy chicken, garlic potato and salad dinner and went to bed shortly afterwards.

I woke up at around 1am absolutely freezing! I wasn't expecting such a dramatic change in nighttime temperature and now I google it I see it's because Ankara is on something called the Anatolian highland. So it's back to wearing thermals at night and zipping ...

Depois fomos ao Mausoleu de Ataturk. Era aniversário de morte, e tinha bastante homenagens, pricipalmente dos escolares. O Mausoleu tem no subterraneo um museu que conta a história da Turquia e circundando o patio tem várias salas com objetos usados pelo Ataturk.
