I should note that for this cruise we decided to make book our excursions with Norwegian Cruise Lines. We normally go through private companies but for this cruise since we booked so late we wanted to see what NCL had to offer. We paid a bit more but did not have to worry about finding a tour company when arriving at each destination. We did our own thing at two of the ports but for the other three we did the excursions through NCL. There were +'s and -'s to booking with NCL. ...

Staying at the RUI Santa Fe was interesting to say the least. Its a pretty large compound. The first thing I noticed is that all the of the buildings are open air. There were no doors anywhere to enter. Which to me must mean that it never rains and it never gets to humid and gross. I'll take that any day.
