I got off the bus and Fabio helped me with my luggage. We looked up the street and Sara S. was standing there. What a great sight, get off the bus and know someone immediately. Fabio went up to her, talked and pointed at me. She came toward me and gave me a hug.

Carol soon arrived and we went to eat. Great food and my first Caipirinha!!! I loved the rice and beans with every meal. The food and drinks were great.

First day on the job! Bete came to pick me up from the house and took me to CAISM. The drive was about 30 minutes, and there was a lot of traffic once we drew closer to UNICAMP and PUCC (another university nearby). As we drove I realized that people just donīt obey stop signs here! We pulled into to the parking lot across the street from CAISM, and Bete had to park illegally because all the spaces were filled.
