"Venice of the North"
... started our walk back through the city. This is a really photogenic city...its so cute. Since we had better weather, we returned to the markt to see and photograph it in the sunshine. A nice, young (albeit completely wasted) Irish couple took some photos of us after Kyle got some of them. We wanted to climb the belfry for a great view of the city, but it was closed for the day. We will try to go tomorrow if there is no rain.

Arcachon
Nice seaside resort less than an hour from Bordeaux. Classy streets, a weird casino and a lift that takes you from the beach up to the gardens 100m high overlooking the town.

Now THAT'S a Castle!
... Following our tour, we visiting the treasury and armory of the castle. It is filled with the usual gold, ivory, and other precious objects. Then, we departed from the castle. We walked the steep inclining hill back up the car.
From the castle, we drove to Cologne (or Koln as the Germans call it). This is a big city in Germany, but it still maintains a natural vibe...it is filled with trees and the Rhine River cuts right through it.

When in doubt, do it anyway!
... We drove around for hours looking at all the little places offering the best oysters in town. Cap Ferret is famous for its oysters, if you like oysters, this would be paradise. We then took the fairy to Arcachon. Spent the day walking around the town stopping at a fresh market on our way back to get goodies for a picnic on the beach. It was so cool that the sun only went under after eight the evening so our beach picnic went down very well.

... the flight, Mia, the cutest 2 year old little girl you have ever seen. We both wore pink tops so already we ‘got’ each other. Mia and her mom Linda is Austrian.
