          ... 8 km to ride. We arrived about 2 hours later. All good. Apart from Stef nearly dying (or so she claims)... From now on, the next 50 km were pure bliss....top speeds in the upper 50's, nice corners, everything nice.

          On 9/23 we we planned to hike from Ardez to Scuol but we were soon bogged down on a steep slope consisting of mud, cow pies and sheep & goat droppings; not a pleasant undertaking. When we got past that we were on snow that had fallen yesterday. We used the opportunity to walk through the snow to clean our boots. This worked until we stepped into cow pies hidden by the snow!
