... It serves a traditional famous Schlosswirtschaft Schattenburg it's a Foot long Weiner Schnitzel. Served with a pickled salad or fries. Chase was up for the challenge being the meat eater he is and as you can see didn't quite get there but gave it an impressive go. It was a great setting in traditional surrounds. A very busy place and it seems that's what people like about the place. A great finish to our first day in ...

... About the 25km mark we joined the Rhine Cycle Path for the first time. The mighty Rhine here is merely a trickle as it is not far from its source. There's a smooth bitumen bike path on both banks, one in Liechtenstein and the other in Switzerland. We did a short foray into L'stein and then rode onto our motel at Buchs. Greg had stayed at this motel in 2012 and rated it the best he'd ever been in. We were settled in by about ...

... what I suspected is true: a village had to be flooded when the dam was built, and this church tower is all that is left to the eye from this now underwater town. It seems both sad and poetic... The sun is setting as I reach my third village of Curon Venosta. Here I give into temptation, and opt for a warm bed again instead of camping out. It does seem to be a lot colder on this side of the mountain for some reason. And so ends a beautiful ...
