... I had a dog around. We had planned to go to Clearwater beach that day so we went off in the car, there were traffic jams for miles and when we arrived near the beach realised it was going to cost $20-30 to park for the day. Uh oh. We drove along the road till a lady with a sign waved us down. She was offering parking in her driveway for $20. I explained I didn't have cash but she said that was fine. We parked up and then she asked me to move it closer to the edge ...

We left our little slice of heaven at 8 am Italy time and after connecting through Zurich, landed at 7pm EST - roughly 18 hours of travel time - in Tampa, Florida, United States of America. The overly officious ticket agent in Milan that checked us in made sure that our bags were the very last off the plane prolonging the torture, only to have it prolonged another hour yet by the customs agent who decided that we were a very suspicious lot indeed, sticking us in a glass holding pen ...

... of reminded me of the area around the Phoenix arena..
Amalie arena is very nice ....holds over 19000 people and we weren't surprised to see a terrific show of red jerseys on the streets prior to game time. Also, we were treated to a performance of an Irish band just outside the doors
Gametime- the fans around us were a mix of hometown and many québécois Canadians ...all in good spirits..We sat up in the third tier ...

... Manager, had a picture with Munenori Kawasaki, announced Play Ball and had another picture with Kevin Pillar (young outfielder for the Jays) and an autograph. Autographs today were Kawasaki, Pillar and Dan Johnson. After the game headed back to Clearwater for a walk along the beach and dinner at Crabby Bills. Back at the hotel now doing ...
