... very well maintained and there were many signs placed strategically which made finding our way very nice.

The hotel we stayed at was NICE!!! We stayed in the Orange Colom Seaside Apartments. We had a nice apartment with a long balcony overlooking the ocean. What a beautiful view from our apartment! We could see the famous lighthouse that is still in use.

Celebrating one month (+) in Europe!

We crossed the one-month mark primarily feeling the up's of our journey (and mostly laughing at the small down moments). We actually celebrated September 20 in a perfect way. ... fishy" about the place (pun completely intended!) and I was right - the water was full of all sorts of creatures, big fish, little fish (no cardboard boxes!), crabs, snails of all sorts of colours, eels and jelly fish... In fact, in true John form, he managed to get stung on the ear - which was quite painful for a bit but seemingly fine after a pint! We stopped for another swim in the sea on the way back and it was amazing how clear the water was. ...
