    ... enjoyed the nice weather, beach, pool..Later that evening Gerry and I headed for a Mexican restaurant in the hills of Carlsbad, called Casa De Bandini...I think the best home made salsa I have every had.  I had a pork dish that was absolutely all Mexican made...nothing like we would find back in Michigan...See pics.  Ambience was wonderful as was the marquerita and the food.     ... E's right!! No more silver cabs! Layover in Seattle and arrived here around 2pm. Went to Granville Island via Aquabus. Lots of vendors selling fruits, veggies, flowers, arts and crafts. I bought a Granville magnet from one of the local artists and some Rainier cherries. Consensus... yellow cherries are better than the red ones. Boarding Disney Wonder tomorrow... can't wait!! :)) Jo ...

    Well the pills did the trick, knocked me out pretty well. It wasn't much fun having Peter help me shower & dress today, better get used to it as I'm sure he'll be doing it for around 6 weeks - let's hope it's just a sling and not an operation when I see the surgeon. It's really upsetting that the ride that had been so wonderful ended this way but I guess it could have been worse if I'd fallen into the road. We've seen some amazing sights ...

    Today we woke up early and got to the San Diego zoo at 8:30. We bought our tickets and waited for the zoo to open. We took the orientation bus ride around the park before we set off on foot. The zoo is beautiful from the animals to the trees, flowers. The highlight was the Pandy bears and new Koala bear exhibit that opened today.
