Wir sind heute gleich morgens Richtung Tofino aufgebrochen. Nach einer 4-stuendigen Fahrt und wunderschoener Aussicht (viele Seen, schoene Waelder und Parks, Weisskopfseeadler,...) kamen wir endlich in Tofino an. Im Hotel haben wir uns schnell umgezogen und sind an den (fuer Tofino) bekannten "Long Beach" gefahren. Einige Mutige waren sogar am surfen.
Anschliessend haben wir den kleinen Ort erkundigt und sind dann am Abend in ein (bzw das einzige) Pub gegangen.

Fam 17. bis 19. september siwer uf tofino gangu. Tofino isch aner weschtküschta fa vancouver island. Dfahrt fa vancouver uf tofino isch ca 7 stunde gangu... 5 stunde fa dene 7 siwer durch wald und natur gfahru. AMAZING!

... I didn't get any pictures of the humpback - they come up and go down fast and if you are looking through a camera you might miss the whale altogether. It was pretty amazing though, only about 50 metres away. I got a couple of pictures of the gray whales' tails as they were diving.
