... either as our taxi driver told us it was "impossible" to find where we were staying. Despite the language barrier we eventually convinced the taxi driver to phone the property and he arranged for someone to meet us in the town so we could be driven to out to the farm. A friendly elderly man (who spoke mainly French and turned out to be the father of the lady who ran the establishment) picked us up and drove us through several of the narrowest country lanes I have ...

Another day for Ben to be excited about – beach day part 2! After lots of legging out tours of museums and the like earlier in the trip, he was looking forward to some relaxation and swimming… lazy bum… OK fine I was looking forward to it too.

We headed to the coast – Porto Cristo - where an additional bonus awaited: my cousin Stephen. It was great to catch up ...

... island. First stop was Valldemossa and Chopin's former home, which is now a museum with a lovely garden and his grave. A bonus for Benj, fervently hoping this short visit will count towards his music mark.

Then off to Port de Sóller (in a little inlet on the coast) where we spread out on the beach and made Benjo super happy in the process. He’s visited a lot of historical buildings, museums and galleries and made a good effort ...
