Another lazy day
I am not a bit surprised that after yesterday's adventures I slept 12 hours and still felt tired. The temperature outside was rising quickly and the predictions were for about 90 degrees F during the day.
Great excuse to keep reading my book ("Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn, two thumbs up!) and cook something yummy.

Up in the mountains for a day
... the lift without having to stand in any kind of a line.
From the very first moment I felt an amazing peace and joy from being so close to nature. As soon as you lift off the ground and leave behind the civilization, until you reach the top and the restaurants and gift shops there, for those 15 minutes you have a feeling of being one with nature.

Rain and reading
I had ambitious plans to get away just a few miles from Cieszyn to explore, but the weather wasn't cooperating. After four people lost their life in the mountains last week, killed by a single lightning, I'd rather keep it safe.
I decided to be productive anyway and finished all the laundry I carried with me from Warsaw. Had to hang it all inside, since the balcony got showered.

... were almost completely out of obiad items. Unheard of for a well-run business!
We compromised: Marek got a whole meal, I chose a different salad to go with my mashed potatoes and cod fillet, and Ania took pasta salad to substitute for potatoes and sauerkraut. Thank goodness I still have some of my yummy tomato soup in the fridge :-)

Nameday Celebration
Today is Ania's Nameday. It is one of the most popular names in Poland. I alone have four friends named Ania, and throughout the day I was sending text messages to all of them with best wishes.
