Slept so well last night! It was finally dark and quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. We booked our tickets to Amsterdam tomorrow online so that was super convenient. We leave on a 3.5 hour bus tomorrow at 10am. We got showered and dressed and left the hotel just in time to make brunch at Kaffe Mühle. It's the giant windmill in the middle of the park. It had a breakfast buffet for €12 and we ate in the outside courtyard. ...

... We walk along this beautiful park with a lake. We arrive at the Bremer Marktplatz. All of the major buildings are around here. The State of Roland is in the center and its giant. The St. Petri Dom (St. Peter's Cathedral) is beautiful. It has two green towers and a clock. We had lunch at Beck's Bistro. Delicious meal and beers. A move into Germany, staying at a camp site near a Lake on the East of the City; it was next to the A1 Autobahn and under the flight path to Bremen Airport. As you can guess, not the quietest night we have had so far!

... highlights of our little tour was when we stopped at one of the stalls that was selling candle light covers of various designs. One in particular had a design of sailing ships and lighthouses to which Johanna's mother exclaimed "Urgh, so typisch Norddeutsch"....having experienced as much of Germany as I had, this internal joke reminiscent of England's North-South divide gave me a warm chuckle.
