... money so we couldn't get a cart. so we put our packs on. We handed in our papers and went out the door. That was easy!

We got some money, bought a snack and waited for the flight to Winnipeg. Wow, what a difference on domestic flights, they serve pop, juice, tea, coffee or water free. You can buy snacks, food, and beer if you like. They charge for the head sets, blankets and pillows! All that is free on the international ...
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada dancejill... the size of a battleship. That thing was enormous! I spoke to the owner, who claimed he bought it for less than $100 a few years ago. It was quite a "flash-back" moment to the days of huge highway cars rolling down the road and chewing through gasoline without regard to the environment. The roads here are straight and suited to that kind of car. There are beautiful fields of mustard, and the yellow is brilliant in the sun. The ...
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada bill212About this trip: This India journey has grown out both my interest to explore and learn about this world and my desire to contribute my energy and effort to a positive and just endeavour. In my first independent overseas adventure to South East Asia in late 2007, I discovered my love for traveling. The experience introduced me to beautiful cultures, news ideas and exotic places. It challenged my inner strength, tested my ...
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada azurraAs my flight lifts off I wonder if I will ever live in Winnipeg again. I'm quite open to joining YWAM full-time after my DTS so perhaps this is it. Time will tell. My flight to Toronto is 2 hours and 23 minutes followed by a 4 hour and 35 minute layover.
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada amy_goes... the photos in the flower fields (actually, they were patches, but perspective is everything!).

One more gas & fluid-check stop ...where the very young attendant was falling over himself to provide the most thorough service ... I don't think that he's seen the likes of us (ie: lovely, YOUNG women) in a very long time. :)

Note: It takes 2 full days to leave the province of Ontario when you are going ...
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada msting... for the right timing as far as a big trip goes and I think I have waited long enough, and the time is right. So come September or October, I hope to be off again. I will definitely look forward to blogging about that as well. Guess there is not much more to add. I am finally getting the pics up from the missing entries, so that should be done in the next two or three days. Otherwise, thanks for reading and til next time....
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada steph_444... the province was placed under the administration of the UN, with the responsibility of security being given to NATO. The UN mandate has now expired and Kosovo's majority ethnic Albanian population is restlessly clamouring for independence (it numbers 90%, while the other 10% comprises mostly ethnic Serbs), insisting that in light of past atrocities, it could never permit Belgrade to resume control over its destinry. For many Serbs, however, the ...
Stonewall, Manitoba, Canada anchorless... ship ever built. Interesting statistics. Too bad I can't remember them. Look it up. We decided to visit Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise before the snow flies, so off we went. Canada is BIG, and expensive - one gas fill-up cost $104.00. This was more than compensated for in beautiful scenery. The drive along Lake Superior was awe inspiring. So that brings us to Winnipeg. ( see above) Its Tuesday , so I think we should reach Banff by Saturday.
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada jgsreh... Malay, Chinese, or East Indian people did. They are found throughout Malaysia but this particular group is a nomadic tribe that lives in the jungle. Now, Michelle was unsure sbout this trip as she had met people who had visited Orang Asli villages and found them to be money grabs and not at all authentic. We both had avoided stuff like that in Thailand because we had heard negative things from people but I had a good feeling about this one and we decided to sign up. I am SO glad we ...
