Today we leave Moscow and head out into the country (about 4 hours out) - and the weather has turned ugly on us. It is raining as we leave the hotel, and gets worse as we go. Start of the Golden Ring
Why Golden Ring? It is a string of the country's oldest towns that formed the core of eastern Kyvian Rus. The whole stretch is covered in onion-shaped domes, kremlins and little cottages.
