Out into the country
Today we leave Moscow and head out into the country (about 4 hours out) - and the weather has turned ugly on us. It is raining as we leave the hotel, and gets worse as we go. To make matters worse, our guide tells us that they are having a Global Warming day in western Europe and Scandanavia, while we are getting a blast of cold air straight off the north pole.

Are you still on the trail? Im in suzdal, Russia. We had just a short stay in suzdal, which is a small town not actually on the trans Siberian line, but about 50 km to the north. Start of the Golden Ring
Why Golden Ring? It is a string of the country's oldest towns that formed the core of eastern Kyvian Rus. The whole stretch is covered in onion-shaped domes, kremlins and little cottages.
