The King was fluent in French, English, German, Romanian, and at least one more while his queen was fluent in about eight languages and wrote poetry in a bunch of them. Our tour guide led us through more rooms full of decorative influences from Germany, Italy, and France and each one was unbelievably beautiful. ... community in Brasov is only 250 people, most of whom are very old, as the younger generation tends to leave Romania and head to the US, Canada, or Israel. It's sad that the Jewish population here will die off in the next few decades, or sooner, it seems.

Although our timing in Brasov was poor due to the weather, it was good for food! There was a Hungarian festival taking place this week and we were able to sample many different foods, some for free and some ...

... quick smart!!! A few more bars later found us at the "Times" nightclub, were there was a live local band, tequila shots for 5 lays ( $1.50, but got the first one for free!) and dancing up a storm. As previously mentioned, for some reason, Romanian girls really like Ivan as they converged on him on the dance floor. The feeling was mutual. Walking home we passed Paddy and Val's hotel, so Ivan called up to their room, "I love you Paddy and Val!" ...
