... were killed; we walked to the 27M Arcul de Triumf (Triumphal Arch and one of Ceauşescu's follies) which is based on Paris' namesake; we walked to the cemetery where Nicolae Ceauşescu and his wife Elena were buried in pauper's graves after they were executed on 21 December 1989, we visited the Jewish museum and the memorial to the 300,000 plus Romanian Jews and Roma who died in the holocaust; and ... and .. and .. and we also managed to enjoy a few beers and wines ...
