... too that once learnt makes the use of this site once again pretty easy. The heat was intense in Venice and Verona and we thought that as good insurance, if you have the option, accommodation with a pool would have been great. Though the basilica, the ceiling was damaged in a 1997 earthquake, which killed 3 priests, the brown robes mean a senior friar following St Francis law, the grey robes mean junior friar, & the rules are not as strict. Walked down the hill then up the hill to the another chhurch in town, St Claire this has the Clarica nuns in residence.
... so we stayed for quite awhile. Went from the hotel to the wedding as a group by bus taxi and the photos will show the beautiful palace/ museum where the ceremony was held. (Palazzo Della Ragione) Not a large wedding, just close family and friends, which added to the very emotional wedding. We also had some free time available to visit the Basilica of St. Francis which was located high on the hill in the town of Assisi. The massive Basilica basically had two churches inside - an Upper Church and a Lower Church. Amazingly enough, the structure was completed in two years, shortly after the death of St. Francis.
