23-05-14 Kaamanen (Finland) to Kiruna (Sweden)

After a rather sleepless night in the noisy motel I was in I got up for 8am breakfast and was out and on my way by 9am.

Again the weather was terrible and all I wanted was to get to somewhere near Narvik in Norway and find a nice hotel before the ferry the next day.

Our first trip of the 'big year' was to Swedish Lapland, to celebrate Anya's 30th birthday. We started the trip in Stockholm, Sweden's capital of 2 million people (you will get used to my love of statistics when it comes to places-I have a thing for population size, elevations distances).
