... il campeggio è nel nulla più totale, come deve essere :-) si devia da una strada che già di suo è nel nulla per addentrarsi di qualche km fino ad un laghetto. In search of Santa
Waking up in a cabin in the Arctic wilderness in late winter is chilly but is an amazing experience. So far each day has been great but today was really my best so far.

Into the Arctic with Refat and Rune
... water from a still running hole in the creek (its our source of water too) and then heating it in a big boiler in the dog kitchen. Then using an axe to chop up their frozen block of reindeer meat it is added to hot water and then some special high energy sleddog dried food is added. Then each dog gets a big scoop of what amounts to a sloppy stew.

... silence that came was erie, all you heard was the skid of the sled against the snow, everything else was completely silent. It's quite special actually...as long as you forget about the numbing cold and occasional bumps that seemed to happen far more often than you'd like =P. It really was beautiful though, and even more amazing when you look ahead and all you see are the dogs and the pink/blue sky...just wonderful.
