      Friday - Mum and I left Brisbane at about 7:00pm after having butter chicken for dinner. Dad, Simon, Mama, Pete, Leonie, Jackson, Lachlan and Cooper were already in Ballandean and Andrew planned to come up later in the night.       So at 1230 the night before.... Jodes and i called it a night...... catch some zzz's before a early start.

      We were up early, packing ... packing and sorting and the Question was asked....Are you going to take the kids bikes? ...... I already had a sore back from lifting 40kg batteries into the trailer..... i looked at the sky..... the clouds were pent up with rainy anger..... Nahhhhhhh its gonna rain Im not ...

      Crossing the border, now back in our home state of Queensland, almost 11 months on the road so far. I remembered a friend from our Caravan Club mentioning a place they stayed each year outside of Ballandean and being invited, if ever in the area to look them up.

      I contacted Helen via email, and yes they were going to stay at Laurie's cousins property, a Vineyard, again. They were held up with the bad weather along the Coast, but would be there at the time we ...

      ... our lunch we headed off to Lynda and Greg's place. Here we had a wonderful couple of hours catching up on news, and discussing politics and the world situation. Could have sat there for days it was wonderful.

      At 5pm we got to Dalveen where we took the last caravan site, best of all it is the spot we like to be in. Tonight it is expected to get down to minus three degrees. The Diesel heater is already on.

      So...we're free!!! I cannot describe the relief of leaving the worst job in the world - apple picking! However, we have made some truly awesome memories during our time on the farm, a few of which I will endeavour to retell...
