Joburg I had my final day in Joburg today and we flew down to Cape Town this afternoon. Last night we went to an African themed restaurant and had some great food! I had a first there but I will get to that a bit later. When in Joburg (this is the short name the locals use for Johannesburg), both days I spent at the client site. This site was …

... west of the city. It's a good advantage travelling with a large group - great accommodation is much more affordable. We had a large living area with floor to ceiling glass windows with a view over the Atlantic, and even a pool (though it was much too cold to use it). The patient had gout in a strange area - her knee - which I learned is basically an acid build up which can be caused from eating a lot of fish or seafood, which the patient did say she liked to eat fish often. The patient also had arthritis in the other knee but was taking medications so she was doing quite well.

The 2nd patient was actually random, we were walking along the ...

It was extremely windy when we went to bed. Gusts were constantly rattling the large windows in our room all night long.

That's about it for our day. Tomorrow we're renting a car and plan to explore the Cape of Good Hope. Wish Bill luck, because he'll be operating the vehicle, driving on the left side of the road! I'm supposed to navigate. Should be fun...
