      ... We then drove to Manhattan Beach where we were told there was a fireworks display for NY, so we found a lovely Italian restuarant that was magnificent! By night the place was very picturesque and the beach was massive, but I am sure the view during the day would be just as great!

      ... all Blacks were like her. He made the clerk aware of the incident so she wouldn't allow her to travel. Apparently he had been imprisoned on Robin Island for speaking out but was clear one shouldn't let such behaviour go unchallenged.Next interesting event was a bus tyre puncture! Clearly they don't check such essentials before setting off!! The bus passengers provided an insight into the non tourist population from gross sized women ...

      ... s train. As one wends further down the hallways the signs are clear indicators of the magical spirit of the place. Even the bathrooms are decorated with an air of adventure, mystery and magic.

      All in all, Whimsic Alley, is a great destination to get ones fill of fantasy and fun while shopping for goodies for your favourite Potter, Who, Thrones or Downton fan... what a delightful adventure we had. And what a fun way to drain one's pocketbook, if one is so inclined!

      ... was the bizarre distinction that Spirit Airlines draws between carry-on luggage and a 'personal item'. They are almost exactly the same size, but the former costs $100 to take on board if you don't include it in your booking. After checking some dimensions, I was told that it would be OK to take my old faithful duffel bag on as a personal item.       ... needed to get off) because of an accident. An hour and a half later we were back in the hotel, seething at the amount we had had to spend on a taxi and then realised this was the only way we could have gotten back to the hotel. Oh well, what's done is done. Finally back at our hotel we were glad the day was over. (sounds bad considering we're on holidays). Will update on our time around Santa Monica when we get to San Diego. Love to all, M&M ...
