      ... through a series of hairpin bends before descending to the small town of El Perello. All was going well until the route which Mandy had created and was following on the Garmin suddenly ran out of cycle-able road…oops…..so we had to walk a few 100m’s…..oh well, makes it much more of an adventure!! We climbed up the other side of the valley and were treated to breathtaking views across the olive groves and out to the sea.

      We caught a taxi to the airport and picked up our new car.

      We drove to Peniscola. It took 2 hours.

      After 2 hours we were at our house.

      There are heaps of cats. They look stray.

      There is a REALLY big castle over the edge of the beach.


      Each day we went to the beach and did flips off a ledge onto sand.

      We left Barcelona in a taxi to pick up our car to drive 2 hours to Pensicola for a week.




      This place is really cool because there is an castle right next to us and that is where we

      ... paella over a bottle of vino, coming back for a couple of hours of siesta and then staying up late walking the streets.


      Lazy days at Peniscola!


      The weather is just perfect.
      There was no way we thought we would be able to hangout on the beach and swim in the Mediterranean Sea.
      On our last day here it was 30degrees.


      Peniscola has allowed us to slow down and ease into long term vacation ...
