... am exhausted from nonstop activity and no mental downtime. But this was a very productive day. A group of us also worked on planning our trip for this weekend. We are going to the Monteverde Cloud Forest and the Arenal Volcano. It is going to be an action packed, fast paced weekend but we will get to see alot so it will be great. Plus, the group I am going with is awesome and pretty cohesive.
Until tomorrow...

... food! That was pretty much my day - I was quite tired so I decided to come back and do homework and study for my Spanish quiz tomorrow. I had a non-Costa Rican dinner again; I hope my new family will make some Costa Rican food to try. Saturday should be a lot of fun - we finally got our itineraries and we're going to more places than I thought. We'll be seeing Poas Vocano and going to Alajuela city and a national park and a zoo and a bird farm thing and ...
San Jose, Costa Rica rkamish125... She was brought in on 01/01/2000 so short for Millenium hehe. We learnt a lot, saw two skeletons of the different species - which have quite different features interestingly - and then saw and patted some baby sloths! They are so smiley and relaxed about things! We also saw a mum and baby in a tree in the carpark - the mother had been released to the wild but liked that tree so often came back. We left happy and though we waited a while for the bus (not under the shelter that ...
San Jose, Province of San Jose, Costa Rica sara-linda... I was at the airport in plenty of time. What I didn't realize was that the arrivals area is outdoors and has no seating of any kind so I sat on the floor and read my book. Before I got to the airport I had thought about just waiting there for Alexander's flight but once I realized there was nowhere to sit it suddenly seemed like a very bad idea so Sky & I caught a cab to Alajuela. I asked the driver to ...
Alajuela, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica margreet98... that looks like the millcreek area...omg... this highway we are on is so like the yellowhead ... you get the drift ... We ended up heading to the Plaza de la Cultura to kill some time before our GAP meeting at about 630 pm. It´s so nice to shop! New clothes! I am so sick of the clothes I´ve been wearing forever in...even if we did laundry ... and oh do I miss my jeans! I swear all the photos are of ...
San Jose, Province of San Jose, Costa Rica lisatsen... but i get a feeling i was one of the few that visit that actually use the room the entire night. luckily, i was exhausted enough to get a bit of sleep in spite of the noise of alarms, crack heads, and other seedier dealings happening outside my window. in the morning, i split pretty early and went to the place i found for my mom and i to stay in a much better part of town. the hotel is called cinco hormigas rojas....the five ...
san jose, Costa Rica darkdreamsI´m not feeling much better, but I am in a better mood! Got to San Jose around midnight and chose the same hotel I´ve stayed at other times. La Guaria Inn. It´s very conveniently located 3 minutes from the airport, nothing fancy but you have everything you need. So I´m on my way to the States, will go to the airport in just a bit. Thought I´d share a tip with my fellow travellers though: If you like me enter Costa Rica for less than 24 hours before you leave ...
San Jose, Costa Rica psykokristin... the bus took off to sell tickets. The bus terminal is what it is like in many cities. A little seedy, unclean and has lots of dogs around. But it is great for people watching because most people take the bus. It is also hard traveling alone cause you cant leave your bags with someone and so you cant use the bathroom whenever you want and if anyone knows me well, I always have to pee at the worst times. So I was happy to finally board the bus and put my bags on it. The driver ...
