The nice part of the last 3 days was how quiet it was. Unlike most of western Europe, which is crowded with tourists there were few to be seen the last 3 days in Lithuania, except for the trip out to Trakai which had a few tour buses in the parking lot. That's not too bad; anyways there needs to be some other tourists around so I can have them take a picture of me. Belarus is next! ...
Sightseeing in Vilnius

We were awake early all ready for a new day. After breakfast we were eager to explore Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. Another old city of which 50% had been destroyed during the war. Our first stop was at the church of St. Peter & St. Paul. A lovely old church that had escaped damage. The inside of the church was decorated in a white baroque style that had all the bus passengers clicking away with their cameras. It was a most impressive building. ...
From Riga to Vilnius
... in Vilnius we arrived at our hotel, perfectly located outside the gate leading into Old Town. We sought out an ATM to withdraw litas ($100 = 250 litas). Dinner followed, in celebration of Jeannette's birthday.
We are now back at the Hotel City Gate and have looked through the album Barb meticulously put together for her Lithuanian relatives. Tomorrow, we are up bright and early on a quest to reunite family.

European Escapades
... We headed to one of the sister hostels and witnessed the famous Jaegermeister train. I managed to get it on video, something like 400+ Jaeger Bombs for about 80 people.
