Where do I start....hummm...how about at the beginning...
Today was another day like yesterday, Fantastic!
Woke up to Mt. Vesuvius to the left and Sorrento to the right of our deck...Can't beat that...history all around.
Did you know today is the 250th anniversary of the pizza, originating in Naples for Queen Margherita...red tomato sauce, white mozzarella cheese and green basil for the Italian flag... Have a pizza today in honor of the Queen!
We had breakfast on ...
... owner, went for a homely meal at Master Hosts- a reasonably priced restaurant just up the road, which Bernard has now fondly nicknamed 'cheapies'. I'm confident the 'lasagna al forno' I had will go down as one of my best meals in Italy :) Strolling around the main town, I fell in love with Sorrento - it's small alleys filled with gelaterias, limoncello shops, souvenirs and lemons the size of a cantellope! ... the town we had a great dinner which was concluded by complimentary, locally made limoncello. After we each had a small glass, our waiter brought over a full chilled bottle for us to enjoy. ... us to the hot and cold dance while on the bus on the way into Amsterdam! We were home and tucked up in bed before 11.00. While still a good night it was extremely tame compared to the 2.00am finish last time and the rather small incident in the club run by cupcakes. ... to the bus, and made it back to the port. We caught
the Ferry back to Sorrento. That night we got the chance to go off in small
groups for dinner and see Sorrento at night. The group I was with consisted of
5 people (one being me), all of them my friends. We went out for pizza. After a
while we went back to the view. I sat their looking at the view for a bit, then
we went back to the hotel. ...
