It was one of the longest lunches I’ve ever had because it took me about an hour and a half to peel the shrimp and unsuccessfully attempt to dig out the sweet claw meat. ... so much food although my travel buddies assure me there are places in Texas that rival this restaurant and that some people live to talk about it. We walked down the harbor promenade past the Boat Club and seated ourselves on the lovely outside veranda of RAFAELO. We weren't sure how much to order but.......... when in doubt. The platter came covered with roasted vegetables, a mountain of french fries (not deep fried ...

... this one more of the city than of the water and mountains. So after the academic portion of the day, we were free to explore Trogir on our own and head back to the hotel at our leisure. Because we are cheap college students, we bought food at the grocery store for dinner. It ended up being wonderful -we ate our bread & cheese and drank our wine looking at the scenic view from our balcony. See the next entry for part II of ...
