Last night we were invited to a pioneer couple's for dinner. They live in the north of the city which is a notoriously rough area. To be honest though, what they call rough here never makes me feel threatened. Unlike home there aren't any groups of hoodies huddled together waiting to rob/stab you. In order to be able to afford this
hotel, we had agreed to attend a presentation for a Time-Share
sale....yeah I'm sure some of you've done this before. It was not
technically a “Time Share” it had a different name and honestly
after they drill you for a couple of hours and keep lowering the
... Yucatan peninsula (quite possibly of the whole of Mexico but we’ve seen too little to make that statement). Missing out on the whale sharks due to bad weather was of course unfortunate (instead we saw Iron Man 3, which was great).
Nevertheless it would be cool to see a bit more of the country as it was clear that the farther away of the coast we were the more enjoyable our experiences were.

The next beach we will have the pleasure of going to will be Aberdeen, and it doesn't quite have the same lure as a sunny Mexican beach! We had thoroughly enjoyed our time in Mexico (apart from Jemma feeling poorly) and we were really glad we decided to finish our travels with a trip to Mexico and the USA as it definitely feels like more of a holiday and a chance to relax before going back to ...
... and had some cocktails by the pool, in the sun. It was happy hour too, always a bonus. The drinks continued up in the room and were going down well.
