Villas Las Almenas Maspalomas

Today was the last day and i got up early and went for breakfast then did then got a bus to Maspalomas and walked back to Playa del Ingles.
Had a swim in the sea for the last time which was amazing and then back to the hotel to have a shower and pack our stuff for check out at 12 :-(!!
Our flight wasnt till 6:15pm so we went to the Yumbo centre for a drink ...

Today we decided to get a bus to Las Palmas, the first bus stop was the wrong one so had to walk to another bus stop!!



Got the bus and arrived at the station and realised we had got off a stop to early so had to walk about 2 miles to the next one but had a bit good exercise:-)..

They let us take our bag on the camel and took a picture while
we set off which i later purchased for 5 euros which i thought was
quite good.
It was bout 30 degrees when going through the dunes and
he ever offered to take a picture for us with our personal cameras
which i thought was good because normally they wouldnt so you ...

... is a caberet drag bar Then when we got back to the hotel Josh went to bed and i walked by the pool and ended up trying out my german speaking skills with a group of Germans which i wasnt very succesful at, then went to the hotel room and woke up in the night and was sick too much alcohol opps..
Woke up this morning struggled to eat ...

... and all the light was blocked out and
one of the beds the middle had colapsed in.. So Josh was quite annoyed
it bothered me but wasnt going to let it get me down, we went to the
hotel lobby and asked to change room but they said not now come back
2moro errrrrrrr!! So we went back in the morning and they said come
back later.

Today
walked along the beach to Maspalomas which is about a 5 mile walk was
really warm and ...

... 0€95c a pint). The Cocktail Shaker for breakfasts .

Once you have walked down to the harbours (Puerto Escala or Puerto Base) or Amindares beach, the main Commercial Centre you will find the easiest way back is by taxi for the grand sum of 3€00c y u can be whisked up the hill in one of the many White and Green Mercedes taxis.

The overall impression is of a clean family based vacation ...

... we are at sea level and looking up at a 12,000 foot peak. We have been blown away by Tenerife and how beautiful it is. The island is quite large and has a population of over 1million. The main city is Santa Cruz and it is clean and very nice- the entire city is beautifully landscaped with fountains, flowers and trees everywhere and the weather is described as "eternal Spring". O destino não foi muito original, confesso.
Passado um ano da nossa viagem de finalistas, e como já vos contei, nunca mais nos largarmos, e depois de muita teimosia.. lá começámos a namorar. E já lá vão quase 4 anos.

 No verão seguinte.. 2006, portanto. Eu como sempre fui passar férias com os meus pais a Gran Canaria, mas desta vez com uma nova "aquisição".

... 17 anos, sair com os amigos todas as noites até ser de manhã, ficarmos todos juntos e todas as coisas que se fazem na viagem de finalistas.
Foi ai, que conheci o David. (Conheci, como quem diz, comecei a falar com ele. Porque já o conhecia há anos.)
 
Desde logo ficamos grandes amigos. Nessa semana até fizemos os dois um piercing... Basicamente nunca mais nos largámos. :D
 

I hated this holiday - the apartments were away at the top of the hill, beyond the Europa Centre and they were building a new hotel next door, we were told that it was only remedial work - total nightmare. The were drilling from early in the morning til sunset - but apart from that nothing would entice me back to the same area again!
