My first day here in Western Australia. It had a slow start, having a late breakfast with Diane, and then chilling out and chatting!!!!!. Eventually we drove to town to Woolworths for grocery shopping and various other things. Very hot but with a lovely breeze. Car arrived on time and I am now in the lounge. Just had a lovely breakfast of prawn salad and lovely coffee. This is certainly the way to travel. Must make the most of it. Clothes sorted and ready to pack. Cold still hanging around but much better. Said a few family farewells and just a few more ends to tie up tomorrow. I will be glad now to be on the plane. This afternoon I went to the Birmingham Christmas markets with Angus, Becka, Suzannah and Alistair. On arrival we got a cup of mulled wine and a German sausage. This German sausage was 1/2 a metre long and it was delicious! With warm food in our tums we ventured off around the markets. There were so many stalls selling cool stuff. ... Woke up to an email and text from United to our flight was delayed by 40 minutes (now 50 minutes)... PANIC!!! We only have 1hr 40m in Newark to get out connecting flight, we have been assured we will make it!! I'm not so sure but if we miss it we're screwed as our first bus your starts tomorrow at 7am!! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

I'm writing this while drinking a pint of cider (there is no time zone in the airport!) and eating a full English breakfast ...
