... the strait that separates Italy from Sicily, the Strait of Messina and that was very picturesque. Lots to see on both sides through the binoculars. Had an Asian style buffet lunch, coffee and dessert downstairs, a nana nap and more swimming. The girls, Lance and Michelle went for a workout at the gym. We had a formal night for dinner and then off to the theatre to see Sir Elton John aka Neil Lockwood. Great end to a lovely cruisy ...

A 4am start and no wind but flat seas. We tried to sail but not enough wind. We motor on making good way and weather seems all good so decide to miss out going to Crotone and head straight for Sicilly another 120 miles as everyone up for another night sail. Boys have a sleep and Sal and Alison take watch, it's so calm Alison even does her gym session in the cockpit. About 5pm things change...... winds get up, seas get lumpy ...

... the afternoon, the three of us headed to town for exploration and shopping. Most all the stores were closed. The town is very derelict, seeming like a dead shell of what is, was or could have been. There is just nothing here that interested any of us. We picked up a couple of things for Milena, walked along the "Lunga Mare" ( street along the water's edge ), and quickly headed back to Milena. We stopped off at the Kroton Yacht office on the way back. Checking on the ...

... up again at the end of his Athens charter..... The are more stories of his havoc aboard, But this is all I know... Anyhow, we are still on our way to Crotone, and the piece of land we spotted that was five miles away is almost out of sight to our stern. Below I went again, until just before 7:00p.m., we were entering Crotone harbor. Marina was now on the phone trying to get a hold of the harbor master... But he was not answering.... So we anchored just outside the ...
