If I thought yesterday was a lazy day..... Well, today was even lazier for me. Jacques and Marina were readying Millie for an 18-hour run to Taormina tomorrow. Four loads if washing were being dried very quickly in the winds that were whistling thru Crotone. Me, I had caught up in all my laundry, so I just read or should I say finished my book, in a heap of tears. Now I am having withdrawals and sadness, missing my characters, having been attached to them for ...

... the afternoon, the three of us headed to town for exploration and shopping. Most all the stores were closed. The town is very derelict, seeming like a dead shell of what is, was or could have been. There is just nothing here that interested any of us. ... area. We enjoyed pizza sold by weight and another gelato thanks to Andie. We made our way through the narrow streets through a modern Galleria to the Pantheon. It had a massive dome and it was open to the elements so when rain came in it would drain through holes in the marble floor. When the sun shines through you can tell the time from its rays. On the way out we saw the Carabinieri who are the national Police vs the Polici who are local. ...

... when we went to get our selection the spinach had run out.The guy behind the counter nearly threw the panini at us and then a meat calzone. Don got a little heated at him which didn't help the situation lol. Luckily Andie our tour guide spoke to them in Italian and he reluctantly made a pomodoro and mozzarella panini. The plan for Rome was to enter it when it is siesta time 1-4pm. This helped with getting through the ...
