... edge. My gosh, how horrid this is. At one point, many years ago, that could have been quite nice..... Such a shame. I had my camera, and wanted to take pictures of this town, from a different perspective . But alas, nothing along the shore line even hints of taking a photo. We climb up to behind the fortress wall... The locals told Jacques and Marina, there would be vender shops next to the fortress walls. We found a row of shacks, next to the walls, all ...

Particularly me, who ...

The traffic was crazy. Everyone toots their horn to alert others that they are near or coming through or to get them to hurry up etc, they seem to know the unwritten rules of the road and get to their destination safely. They park anywhere, on corners,at angles to the curb etc Everything is or was covered in marble in Rome. On our tour with the local guide she told us about how much of the marble was stripped off buildings over the centuries. Don rested ...

Florence- Rome

... was marvellous with an opera singer accompanied by a piano accordion and violin player. The next day we visited Olvietti which had an ancient church and the clocks only had one hand on them as it represented Italian time. We stopped at numerous service stations with minimal hassle. It's important to pay for your selection then collect it from the counter. However at one servo we got a panini and a spinach ...
