... silent for 23 hours a day in solitude in their room. They also produce this 90% proof liqueur that we tried at dinner. In their chapel there were angels faces carved into the seats and underneath the seats when lifted up show the different devil faces. ... Perhaps that was why there were statues to the various saints along the way!

The mulberry tree, while it had its trunk the other side of the fence, draped its branches over the roadside. Yum.

Paul and Dave swam at the local beach while Karen and I lazed around the pool. The immaculate one....the other still being a haven for frogs. Dinner on the verandah as the sun set.

Arrived at Cutro, a small mountainside village scattered along the face of the mountain. No big castellos or defensive walls, just a village on the side and top of the mountain. While admiring the view from one of the towns piazzas, were approached by a cheerful gentleman who then proceeded to give us the third degree while sharing information about his village.
