The hotel suggested a little known beach nearby.

We spent an amazing day here sunbaking and swimming, snorkeling and climbing all over the rocks in and out of the water.

We finished the day at a great locals restaurant eating pasta and seafood high up overlooking the amazing coastline.

We arrived at a place called Tropea.
The unit we are staying in is a hotel with a pool and a bar.

We hopped into the pool as soon as we got there.
The pool looked shallow and Mum said we can only do crocodile but I can only just touch the bottom with my toes.

We stayed in the pool all afternoon and played shark zoo game and I am a Great White Shark.

Ended up as a good moving day.

Today is the second day and today we drove to Tropea and we walked around and I like this town it has a really ...

To the north, the coastline gets a bit more rocky and the town of Nicotera sits on the hill about 6 km away. We can see the volcanic peaks of the Aeolian Islands out to sea. They are part of the chain of volcanoes that link Vesuvius near Naples with Etna on Sicily.

We have had big discussions tonight (over our 1 euro glass of wine - who ...

The birthplace of Archimedes(you remember the book Mr Archimedes bath) and chosen island for Mafia. There are quite a few mafia type souvenirs around the little shops, along with lava from Mt Etna, which was smoking satisfactorily when we were leaving. Lots of tiny streets in the old town, plus, of course, high end shops and tourists, but not as many as other places. Antiquities too and I would have liked to spend more time here and less in ...
