        Another wet walk!

A travel blog entry by davidandmarjory on Oct 15, 2015

Today we decided to take a long walk from the B&B to the town of Cropani, via the old donkey track! The weather forecast was not promising but it was warm so we decided to carry on regardless. We donned our waterproofs and set off. To begin with the track was very good and in some parts sandy. It then started to drizzle but ...

.........on arrival at the gate to the Agricultural Tourism destination we thought we might have made a dreadful mistake! We drove to Tropea this morning and visited the old town and then went on to the beach beyond Sta Domenica. The weather was gorgeous and 28c and swimming was fab in the warm sea!

On on the way back we stopped at Pizzo and viewed the Chiaso Piedigrotto. This is a church that has been carved into the rock. Unfortunately it wasn't open, although apparently it should have been! We could see a bit of the carvings through the gates!

... exceptionally hot. Go figure. The hottest September they have ever had. It was 35 degrees in the afternoon. Mornings and evenings are the best time to go to the beach. We are right beside the restaurant Il Pergolato. The food and service is exceptional beyond words!!!!!!!!!! Any seafood or dish imaginable is available. The service is so friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxed and jovial. Angelo Lepore, who is the owner and his staff go above and beyond for their ...
