13.11.14 Cefalu Sicily to Cosenza Calabria Left our lovely Hotel this morning to Messina and to the Ferry. Jenny counted 62 tunnels in 140 Kilometres some over 2 Kilometres long, we spent more time underground than above ground. Bruce took us to the Ferry on ramp and we lined up with all the trucks, when we got to the front and showed our ticket the security man told us we were with the wrong company and had to go three kilometres down the road. Keep calm John, so with Jenny's help ...

... upward we found a small town plaza.... Maybe 6 little shops, all carrying the same thing.... Nothing worth buying, or taking a picture here. We decided we would return to Millie, because it was almost cocktail time. "Oh, Robin, this is such a grotty place... I think I should die if I had to live here!" Marina softly mumbled. ... here and Taormina. Not good for tomorrow -- stay here. The next day will be much better for this 18 hour crossing. With that now decided ... We know we will continue to be in a "weather delay" again tomorrow. Cocktails for us became the first order of business... So it was gin and tonics around, as we compared notes on what we did and did not like about this: "coulda' been nice, shoulda' been nice and probably once was kinda' sorta' nice" town. Enroute to Crotone, stoppped to look at the local cemetry. With the high walls and mausoleums, a city within itself.
