... tell why the rich and famous have houses here. After catching the ferry across to Sorrento back on the mainland and walking up 1000 steps to get to the bus we noticed that our token Asian Olivia wasn't with us. It was later discovered she didn't even get off the ferry and was heading back to Capri... Funny stuff Had dinner at a restaurant overlooking the bay of Naples. It had million dollar views and was all very impressive then shot back to the hotel for a recovery from the sun and ...

... paste, which is white Nutella, mixed with ground pistachios..... Say no more......

On the way home, we stopped and bought the most magnificent strawberries, so, if a place is famous for something, for goodness sake, don't expect to buy it there..... Go somewhere else!

A side note: Sicilians are fascinated with french fries, they order them as a side with their pizza, on their pizza and inside pastry with a sausage.....patatine everywhere

... in the distance. The farm has been passed down from Maria's grandfather, but has been operational for 200 years. They still have the original wine press and various tools used to harvest grapes and make wine over the years. The entire farm is dotted with various antique farm tools and our accommodation, the Kiwi's Bower, was a beautiful old farm cottage, filled with antiques, with 2 terraces overlooking the valley.

... boat to Sicily the home of the real Mafia. I was shocked by the rubbish on the roads, you could see the beauty behind the rubbish. We stayed in Mizzano and I had the most beautiful antipasto seafood platter. Small italian family owned restaurant translated to the housewife. The next day we drove to Palermo and spent the day looking around, it was beautiful and cleaner city. We left Palermo again on a ferry to Napoli arriving a 6.30am and drove to ...

... br> We are all exhausted and have dinner at the hostel restaurant at Santa Fortunata. I am organised and give the kitchen a pizza base to make a pizza Margherita (basil, mozzarella and tomato in the colours of the Italian flag). That night I awake to BOOM the sound of extremely loud fireworks that lasted around half an hour. It sounded like bombs exploding. Fireworks go off nearly every night apparently. Perhaps to cover up the cupcakes ...
