We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, it was too late it stopped at 10am. We cycled round the corner to the shopping street as peter needed some new trainers, his old ones soles were so smooth they kept slipping off the pedals plus they were smelling really bad from the wet days previous. After that we had a nice sandwich & panini, with gateaux of course, at the boulangerie i so got going quite late - our destination of Montbard was looking impossible. ...

... and also lily pads, looks like there's never a boat on it, we haven't seen one all day. On entering there's lots of roadworks, it's a very large & busy town & so we stop to look for hotels, there are so many but it's really noisy near where we are at the rail station so cycle on. Lucky we did as it's the most beautiful town, so many 16c old wood panelled buildings it's quite breathtaking. Into the centre & it's really buzzing with tourists and street ...

... themselves at home. Back onto the bus about 3.30pm and headed for Troyes.....pronounced twar, arriving at 9.10 which was five minutes before Werrys driving time was up for the day. We checked into the hotel and went straight to dinner. A three course meal at 9.30 is not quite the norm at home. We get a sleep in tomorrow....not checking out till 9am so the late night won't be so ...

We arrived on time, collected our car at the airport and Steve ably negotiated driving our Renault on the wrong side of the road to Hotel St Laurant in Nogent Sur Sein a cute little country town. Had dinner at our Hotel which can only be rated as fair and Steve ordered Pork Belly which he has ranked in his top 5 inedible meals of all time. It was squishy and pungent. Really early to ...
