... cost us nothing.

We had a very early start as the train from Bayeux to Rennes went at 7.28am. This is the train we would need to take if we wanted to go to Mont St Michel for the day. Even after looking at the map, Alex couldn't quite believe we were that close to the sea as we did not see one little bit! We managed our changes at Rennes and Redon without incident and arrived at Nantes after 1pm.

... wonder, and we were on the hunt for scampi or fresh langoustines. There were a number of fishmongers to choose from with fish piled high and glistening, spiky crabs, and slippery black eels on display. we found our scampi, bought some nectarines and crusty golden baguette and proceeded home after a leisurely coffee.
