      ... questions the tour took an hour not 20 mins, felt very lucky as he loved the cave and gets to explore not only the ones we could access but the other 14 kms of caves we can't go to as its too dangerous but beautiful- a job is is proud to do as he sees himself as a gatekeeper! All in french too, when things are in context we can both get the drift of whats being said it seems.....

      ... were giddy being so subversive in front of pope palace!

      tomorrow we get a walking tour of the city, then at 2p get on a bus to see where Van Gogh painted and some neato light and art show in some caves. I intend to bring both the iPad and iPhone into town in hopes of uploading my photos via wifi that allows more bandwidth (or something). Now we're down to our last 3 days of vacation!

      We are sailing today from Lyon to Tournon, there has been a lot of rain so the Rhone river is on Orange alert, which means that big ships cannot sail. The reason is that the Rhone has several locks, which are really really fascinating. I've never sailed on a boat like this before (not to brag, but I have been assigned the role of ballast on a catamaran previously) so these locks are so great! ...
