... Nonnenweir and headed for Illhausern and Riquewhir, two wonderful Alsacian old towns along the famous "Route des Vins d'Alsace" Even though the auberge were we wanted to have lunch was closed for their holiday, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at an adjacent restaurant.

... short, the damn route got us lost and we ended up doing another massive detour. At rixheim, we eventually turned around to try to find any kind of river to camp on. Rivers are nice. We didnt find the rhine, but ended up staying on the banks of a kittle canal which was super pretty and a fair distance from any dodgy dog walkers!
dinner, consisting of more garlic tha pasta, followed by wine and bed was pretty much exactly what the doctor ...

... but not much more. A fine place to lay your
head for the night. The concierge suggested a restaurant, called Cafe
Gugel. I tried to look it up before we went, and saw it had 2/2 decent
reviews. It was only a short walk from the hotel, and we got there and
it seemed closed. There was scaffolding and such outside and it looked

... did nothing. Feeding the monkeys was really fun and definitely a great surprise. After the monkeys, we drove to a nearby village and walked around and looked for gifts to bring back. We went into a few stores and all of them had little Swiss knives (multi-function tool). My dad thought that it would be a good Idea to get them in memory of the trip.
