... damage was in neighbouring State of Mississippi from Gulfport to Biloxi, Boats and barges rammed buildings, pushing cars and houses inland; water reached 6–12 miles from the beach. The power of nature! We live with the threat of earthquakes in Vancouver, but folks living on this coast live with storms every year, sometimes multiple times a year!! We headed east this morning on I-20 to US Rt. 49 in Jackson MS where we turned south on US 49. This was a nice drive through rolling countryside and several small towns.
