... walk on the beach. We also stopped at the Shell Museum and then took the Wildlife Drive through the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

Tonight we had a barbecue prepared by our staff. Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw and broccoli salad and chips, ice cream and cookies for dessert. Very nice evening. Tomorrow is travel day to Homestead.

... commercial establishment on the island is Rum Bay Restaurant and the attached Rum Bay General Store. No real stores, bars, restaurants, not even one gas station.

Most people use golf carts or bicycles on the island as their primary means of transportation, creating a very laid back island feel. And this is how we travelled with Linda, our CS host who lives on the island! The only worry is to stop for gopher ...

... flight of 15 hours SF to Sydney and return. Kathy will already be in SF area and I will join her there to visit family for a few days before departing. We figured out it was cheaper to buy a third seat so we could slouch and squiggle to improve restfulness of the l-o-n-g journey and the airlines had no objections so that is our plan.

... has been on a night,it has sounded like two ducks killing each other!!! But after a bit of detective work and with the help of google,we discovered that it is frogs!!!!!! They come out on a night after a heavy storm and let everybody know they are around!!!! ( most of the blinking night)!!!! Got a couple of pics of the sweet little things!!!!! Monica has just emailed and asked why the videos are upside down???? Didn't think they were!!!! Let us know. ...
