... and went in search of dinner. Samuel wanted a 'restaurant dinner' so I found something mildly appropriate, as in they wouldn't mind children. We had crepes and they were delicious. Except the children didn't seem to agree. I bought one crepe with cheese, ham and mushrooms which had to be eaten before we could eat the strawberry and chocolate crepe. ... appeared that bobbed to the surface before diving for more food. The boat then moved further out to try and spot a humpback. In the distance I thought a saw a water spout from one and as we got closer the boat slowed and waited. Humpbacks can dive for up to 20 mins to feed before they need to surface again to breathe so it was a waiting game but we were finally rewarded when one rose to the surface just off the port ...

... and ate breakfast with Marie who lent me a backpack for the things I'm taking to Lévis for the night. Felt a bot sad leaving the apartment, even though iI'm going back tomorrow!! Walked to the port and now on the ferry crossing the river. Gorgeous day, Québec is looking beautiful! En route to the cinema, found the start/finish for the race tomorrow... Nerves! ... last night. We all bought poutine to try; Lise from work had told me it was a delicacy in Canada, but I must admit it didn't sound very appetising... Chips covered in cheese curd and gravy. It actually tasted alright, as the cheese curd didn't really have much flavour, but the texture was a bit weird... I'd probably eat it again but it hasn't changed my life... Sorry Lise! Laura really enjoyed the poutine though as the gravy was like chip shop gravy in the UK. ...
