Pinehurst Road, (opening Spring 2009) Farnborough, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom
Ok so we went back down to London and this time we stayed with our friends Phill and Bron and their lovely wee daughter. This was the weekend we went to the Farnsborough airshow which is ever 2 years and one of he biggest in the world! So Saturday rolled around and Katherine, Phil, Meaghann, Phill and I all piled into the car and were off to the airshow. We finally arrived after some traffic and had to get a bus from the carpark (rugby pitch) to the airshow. It was ...
Farnborough, England, United Kingdom dkjohansen... approaching. We stuck our necks around the corner and sure enough more fun was in the post! A truck with the side cut out that contained a wall of steel pans and their operators inched closer and Kerry lost it, running up to the lorry, blasting her whistle vigorously and gyrating madly to the music. Special mention needs to be made about the days dance movements. Let me tell you Caribbean ladies can do marvellous things with their bums. They get some serious movement ...
London, United Kingdom jeznkez... me to my home. I cant wait to see what the home is like. My roommate arrived this morning and is already there. Will post back soon with some more interesting details, hopefully. The good news is that I am on firm and solid ground. thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
London, United Kingdom carly819... look forward to getting back to talking about work again. Even spending British pound sterling has been less painful than I had imagined. That might be because of the small size of the unit of currency though, he ended lamely. Seriously though, it's been nice to be back amongst people I know and love. The impact of being back in 'reality' hasn't quite sunk in yet, but so far it hasn't been so bad. I've not had to do anything stressful yet though, so I reserve full judgement ...
London, United Kingdom andymohan... Heathrow. From that point, I was quickly hustled out the door by my anxious mother and made a record time departure; only returning once for some forgotten essential item. As soon as the car door shut (we had yet to leave the driveway) I proceeded to burst into a deluge of tears that did not stop 'til I was forced to by fear of public scrutiny at the airport. I'm still not exactly sure what set me off, but I have chocked it up to nerves, sleep deprivation ...
London, United Kingdom sandramorrow... 10 A stupid walking up after the ****** situation of the previous night. I managed to take a shower at least. Dana asked for the key back and we all leaved the flat together. Dana was meeting with friends and we walked all morning in the surrounding of Hammersmith and the other borough. They weren't really talking to us as she was with latvian friends. But in the meantime I was tipping floh about the previous night behaviour, he didn't remember any of it. I made him a ...

London, United Kingdom tabonyhl... big smoke up the M3 which took all of 45 minutes. The north circular or A406 was an experience. The first section to Wembley was stop and start but after that it was a very fast six lane road. It still took me an hour to reach the Wood Green turn off and another half an hour to find S and I's house in Boundary Road. It had to be at the other end didn't it! There they all were. Anne had been shopping at Harrods and bought ...
Farnborough, England, United Kingdom brianc... before checking out Lake Titicaca. Via Bolivia we will then enter Northern Chile weaving our way south between Chile and Argentina where we will probably spend Christmas and New Year. 2006 will begin with a visit to the Iguazu Falls and then on into Brazil from where I fly home. Sounds good, doesn't it? Anyway, enough of this rambling - I have a rucksack to fill. Until I write again... Bev, x
Farnborough, United Kingdom bevhunt... everything is ringing people up, parties, Euro 2004, preparing, last minute running around etc. I think this the biggest thing i did since Uni.....6 years ago. Yes, it has taken me that long to do something, anything. (Born with the crippling Lazyituss) Apart from that? I'm just dead chuffed to be going. Can't wipe smile off face. 4 days and counting....
