Drove on south to Biarritz stopping for some surf along the way. Biarritz is one of Europes best surf locations and its easy to see why. Giant waves can be seen all along the coast, and during the 3 days I was staying the surf only got bigger.

... we had to find somewhere to buy the biggest suitcase possible to take on board our five remaining flights. Not far along the road from Galeries Lafayette was a large-ish luggage shop, with everything from wallets and handbags to large suitcases. After much deliberation we settled on a hardy (can you use that word for things other than coastal plants??) Samsonite suitcase which will theoretically last a lifetime.
