... br>All being well we'll have managed to cram our worldly possessions into a combined 155 litres of rucksack without too many arguments over whether Clarins Face Products are classed as "essential" and also with a bit of luck our baggage will have made it's way onto the same aeroplane as us : ) and we'll be winging our way to London, next stop Bangkok!

A&Px
Manchester, England, United Kingdom alex_paulLast brief entry, just to say we are safely back home, arriving yesterday with Sue picking us up at Manchester airport.

We've had a fantastic trip - very memorable! Thank you for following our trip. Hope it hasn't been boring, certainly hasn't for us.
Burnley, England, United Kingdom col-jean... a serious lack of female rest rooms in this building and they (all guys) respond with, “well look how many girls are in this class. It’s pretty reflective”. I thought it was fairly sexist (I end up using the disable bathroom every time).

Regardless of the physics toilet situation I am still having a good time. Do not worry.

The weekend after all this (Halloween weekend), I went home with my flat ...

Overton, England, United Kingdom chiangmaigreg... whilst the woman next to me was definitely fidgety on both occasions too. Now call me cynical, but WTF have they got to be worried about, eh? They're obviously saved already, they have just been on a pilgrimmage, surely they're going to be well in with the Big Man? Unless of course there's something they ain't telling us?

But anyway, either the prayers work or Airbus Industry do their job or something like that and we land ...

Warrington, England, United Kingdom tanarae01... dinner with Dee & Tony, and Sue & Peter, and we had a great time. Fireworks are still sold over the counter here in the UK, so on midnight not only was there the fireworks from London shown on the TV, but outside there were skyrockets and fireworks going off everywhere. Standing out front, the sky was ablaze with color and the rumbling noise of crackers going off in every direction was just brilliant. It sounded like the army was advancing ...
Warrington, United Kingdom bandglittle... Before too long it is lunchtime and there are many guests invited to share a meal and a chat before we have to leave. Susan brings around some old photo albums that were her Mum's, my Aunt Rose that includes many old photos's of my Mum amongst others. Won't say anymore now and will let the photo's do all the talking; however you can imagine the emotion running through me as I see my Mum as I have never seen her before. Peter gave us some postcards that featured his artwork, and he ...
Warrington, United Kingdom bandglittleWell, it's all over. My year of travel is gone. I'm absolutely devasted, but all good things have to come to an end at some stage. Arrived in Heathrow, and faced the prospect of waiting around for my internal flight to Manchester - a nice 6 hours. Didn't manage to get any sleep on the flight from NY, although my eye mask and ear plugs were great - highly recommend these for flying. So sitting in Heathrow I felt a bit rough and defo worse for wear. And it was so strange ...
Warrington, United Kingdom hels_bellesWell it was coming to the end of the year and I had a couple of days holiday that I had to take before the end of September, with my birthday next month I headed off on a little bit of a road trip to save some money and headed north to the Lakes District to see what it had to offer. So I grabbed a car from City airport and drove north as far as I could tonight....which got me to Warrington. found a cheap hotel to crash for an early night before hitting the road again tomorrow.
