Well - being in Cardiff was good since it is the closest airport, being on a 2-hr drive to the hotel. But had to wait about an hour for the rental car place to open up.

At least I got to go through the visitor information brochures and grab a bite at Burger King.

Hopefully You're all now getting e mail updates when a new entry is posted. Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom cusan... exactly helped; how inconvenient! Anyway, everything is now booked; flights, cat into cattery, rental car to airport, Gatwick hotel, car hire in the US, 4 US hotels, 2 US houses, 1 US condo, and rental car from airport. Now I have to think about packing.......
Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom cusan... to go on really!
Dad picked us up and drove us to the airport.... I still had no idea where we were off to, until Simon asked the check in desk lady to tell me... "Would you do me the honour of telling my new wife where we will be going on our honeymoon." He said. She got all flustered and embarrased, Like hed just proposed to her or something... eventually she got round to mentioning we were off to Peru!... WOW ...
Ammanford, Wales, United Kingdom dell_abbsBooked with Clyne Farms to go horse-back riding on the beach. But first we had to get our skills evaluated because when the horses see the wide open expanse of beach, they want to gallop. I was all for this. But it wasn't meant to be apparently. I've never ridden an English saddle before and it's been years since I've ridden a horse. Same with Jacqui. So the instructor said she ...
Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom big_red_truck... excavated as well as the museum which had some interesting things in it. I wouldn't want to stay in this town for a really long period of time as there is not really that much there. It was very cute and quaint though.

We then set off for London and arrived late afternoon where i said good bye to all my new friends and headed off to Fulham to stay with Jade for a few nights before setting off again.
Carmarthen, Wales, United Kingdom alanna.holloway... stay was at Llandeilo so took us by Carreg Cennan castle, an evocative castle ruin perched spectacularly atop a crag overlooking the Towy valley. Beneath the castle are subterranean tunnels that you can explore. Torches can be hired from the visitor centre.

On to Llandeilo. We booked into the Cawdor, an old coaching inn, and left my precious steed in the back of the ...
Llandeilo, Wales, United Kingdom mike.griffin... gold, so pretty! We visited Tante Maria ( my grandfather's sister) and saw the house where my mummy was born, which was pretty special. Our family has a lot of history in that village. Our timing was good for a visit as it was also Tanta Ann's 86th birthday so that night there was a big family get together where we got to meet everyone. Nik and I felt very welcome and had a great time, our plates and glasses were never empty! The next day was more sight seeing. Paula picked us up with ...
Swansea, United Kingdom joeychiken... history lesson on the way out. He was so good even the locals thanked him and said they learned a thing or two. The air was crisp and the sea rough but the sun was shining so it was a great day. I think Nik thinks I hate him for it but it wasn't that bad, even though I refused to climb round cliff faces at some point of the journey. That's only cause Im a chicken!! There was this crazy sea foam that looked like dishwater and we saw sheep with tails, which is a totally odd sight when you ...
Swansea, United Kingdom fritter... site of Wales’ largest castle built in the thirteenth century. Even now its monstrous size still conveyed a foreboding air of impenetrability to two would-be marauders brandishing cameras, and the grey, drizzly conditions and lack of other visitors only added to the haunting atmosphere.

I very much enjoyed the afternoon, driving along rural roads through the very heart of Wales. The narrow by-ways ...
