so 2 weeks into france and i've yet to write a thing. im so bad at this game. meh.
today i went to the beach, it was wonderful!!!! becca thought it was cold, she was wrong :)

so apparently sainte maxime is infiltrated by german tourists, who knew? the only frenchies on the beach were...well enjoying themselves quite a bit..... ;-)

We began with fried zucchini flowers (wow!) and then had gnocchi in a light cream sauce, ravioli stuffed with daube of boeuf and then a serving of the daube (beef braised in wine with carrots, celery, onions and herbs) on it´s own. We could have literally fed 5 or 6 people with all this food and it was out-of-this-world ...

... managed to find an ice cream shop that was still open. I got a Pampillmouse rose scoop of ice-cream and a lavender one. I didn't realise pampillmouse is French for grapefruit. I haven't pulled so many faces over an ice-cream before in y life. I still managed to eat it though. The lavender was strong but wonderful.
