... the sea, and whole whole bay area is filed with numerous islands, in fate, they say there is an island for every day of the year! We actually had a leisurely morning as we didn't have to meet until 9.30, so we were able to enjoy the fantastic breakfast laid on for us - fruit (especially the papaya and sweetest bananas I have ever eaten!), coffee (the strongest I have ever drunk. - well, what do you expect for Brazilian coffee!) as well as the usual 'bake ...

Breathtakingly beautiful place. Early start tomorrow, 5 hour drive to São Paulo to catch a flight to the incredible Iguazu ...

Our boat departed Ilha Grande at 1. Luckily as the hostel was quite quiet they let us hang around there after check out so we didn't have to lug our bags around. Which worked out ideal because it was a miserable rainy day and actually we didn't want to be wandering around in that anyway. We just chilled out at the hostel, uploaded some photos, charged our phones/kindles and at breakfast we were ...

... washed during times when sanitation was limited and is still an amazing thing to watch today. It was also amusing to see that some drivers had decided to ignore the no parking signs in certain areas, and that the result was their cars were in water over the wheel arches at high tide! Our hotel was lovely with a pool, well stocked bar, brandy here was about £3, a huge improvement on Ecuador. The rooms were in a brightly ...
