... tour which was great! It lasted all day with gorgeous weather, swimming in the sea, lunch and relaxing on beaches - just what we have been waiting for! In the evening we went to a festival that has been going on in the town for a few days called ´Divina´ with live bands and street stalls. We found a cool bar with happy 2 hours on caprinhas and then decided to call it a night after a tiring day. The following day was pretty grim weather ...

... waterfalls just 10k away. Just 10K... Up a mountain! *refrains from swearing*. On the plus side, the ride back was easy! After almost throwing up and an hour of cycling (and pushing the bike) up hill, we made it to Cachoeira Toboga Where there were small but pretty waterfalls. The water was very fresh, which was extremely welcome, as I was completely drenched in sweat. There were quite a few local Brazilians there who helped us in and out of the waterfalls and ...

We caused some strange looks from the locals as we tried to find a way around the issue - Hannah laid in the water while I dragged her forwards by the arm. All this did was nearly drown her and scrape her knees along the sea bed.

... is very easy to see everything
in a little amount of time so we decided to go and have a look at Trindade, a
little 40min in the local bus.

Trindade is what I call paradise on earth, wonderfull
beaches, beautiful jungle, massive rocks, so it’s a little bit like Ilha Grande
      but DIFFERENT !

First we decided to go through the jungle and walk to the
called : Piscina Natural ( Natural swimming pool ) an area surrounded by

... type, and the boat tours make good use of this law!

The next day we set off for another short(ish) bus ride to Rio. The route takes the spectacular winding coastal road overlooking jungles mountains and stunning beaches. Next stop Rio, then home!

P.S. As well as being an ace place, Paraty will hold a special place in our hearts as it is where we heard the brilliant news that Helen and Gurj had welcomed little Violet into the world. Congratulations ...
