... beach. Slightly tragic, I know, but good fun none the less. Tad and his motley crew were on great form as we cashed in on a huge bowl of chicken, squid and prawns for supper. We were up first thing this morning to catch the sunrise at the amazing natural pools off Cachadaço. With the pools all to ourselves it was the perfect way to round off Trinidade. Next stop - Ilha ...

... hiking around the island and exploring waterfalls and beaches. In an effort to make up for my overindulgence in Rio, I cooked pasta for three meals in a row and finished reading Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer. Totally recommend this book to anyone, a real page turning fictional novel.

It is hardly a surprise ...

I didn't realise how much I missed shoes and can't wait to put on a pair of heels when I get home. Paraty had cobbled uneven streets and was a really quaint place to be. Here me and Priya ended up sharing a room with Becky and Kim as the hotel was so full! We went to a lovely thai place for dinner and the ...

    Ilha Grande and Paraty

... quite a sight. One of our stops was where the honeymoon scene in Twilight was filmed (also the most expensive place to live in Brazil) so for anyone who has seen it hopefully you can remember how beautiful it is!

Tomorrow we have 24hrs on a bus to look forward to, but worth it as it gets us to the Iguassu Falls. It`s exciting stuff and I will be very sad to leave Brazil later this week as it is such a wonderful country.
