We are able to save petrol and give the car a rest by leaving it in one spot, plus we are getting some exercise...win ...

... Royan; by the time we got back to the marina it was about 3 hours after we'd left.

We'd resigned ourselves to setting off again the next morning, but having managed to fix the engine (after several hours of hard work and Mister Kitty managing to ingest an awful lot of diesel) we realised we could actually leave around 3pm and still get in to Hondarribia before dark.

So, once again, now feeling very nervous about trusting our engine on such a long journey, despite ...
