    We were afforded the opportunity to stay in our cottage until 12:00. The sun was bright and the sea was calm, we kayaked out to the reef. We spent a bit too much time snorkeling and almost got caught with the water being too shallow for us to make it back to shore without damaging the coral. I swam back and nearly scraped my hands.

    Marine taxes are very high (Sisters EUR 25 or SR 500, Curieuse EUR 15). We were happy to pay the tax as it is used to ensure the protection of the marine life so that the awesome snorkeling we experienced today is kept for generations to come.
